Discover Isabela's Rich Past

Explore the history of Isabela like never before on The Queen’s Town Tour—a relaxed 4-hour experience that blends easy walks with scenic stops and fascinating stories. We’ll start at the Isabela Food Truck Park, then ride in a comfortable, air-conditioned van to the heart of the town: the plaza, surrounded by beautifully preserved historic buildings.

As we step inside the magnificent San Antonio de Padua Church, you’ll learn the stories behind its religious and cultural artifacts, as well as its colonial architecture. We’ll also visit a nearby historic building that protects an old cistern—once the main water source for local residents in the early 1900s. From there, I’ll take you to a site officially recognized by the Puerto Rico Institute of Culture for its historical importance.

Next, we’ll take a short, comfortable drive to a remarkable Spanish archaeological site dating back to 1733—an important part of Isabela’s colonial history. You’ll explore the ruins of the Caribbean’s third-oldest hermitage, followed by a scenic coastal walk and a stroll through a historic train tunnel. And before we wrap up, we’ll visit a giant mountainside statue that honors a famous Taíno chief—one of the island’s greatest heroes!

But wait—there’s more! You’ll get to enjoy one of Puerto Rico’s favorite snacks, a yummy treat to end the tour.

Join this awesome adventure in the town named after the Queen of Spain! Book your spot today and choose the date that works best for you. I can’t wait to show you the amazing stories and places of Isabela!
